I am thrilled to announce a new journey with a month long residency in May at the Los Angeles based 18th Street Arts Center. “The Brick Project”, which I started in 2020, led me to seek out the time and space to explore migration with regard to the expanding southern border wall.

I’m incredibly thrilled to have been selected to create a commissioned artwork for the soon to open Chase Center – future home of the Golden State Warrior’s in San Francisco. Alongside 23 other artists selected by Sports And The Arts for the Chase Center Art Program (https://www.chasecenter.com/news/4X10wFaU1fy7ZdTE84wbds), the collection will be anchored by artwork by international artist Olafur Eliasson. EXHIBITING AT ARTMARKET SF
I am so pleased to be debut “Allegory 2” at San Francisco @artmarketproductions April 25-28th with @juliezenergallery, Booth #528. “Allegory 2” is part of a series of works on paper that invoke tapestries crossing into the sphere of allegorical poetry. These works invite the viewer to see beyond the limitations of the physical.
COMMISSION WORK FOR OAKLAND DEVELOPER
In April I completed a commission for a Bay Area developer, Trammel Crow that included two large scale works for a new development, The Webster, in the heart of Oakland. One of work will hang in the concierge lounge area (43 x 103 inches) and the other in the conference room (60 x 84 inches).

This series explores the creation of imagined physical geographies. It borrows the word Campo (“field” in Spanish) to illustrate our desire to alter existing environments. These works incorporate overlapping color planes that evolve into “new identities” that address space, place, individualism, and containment.

This past weekend I had the privilege of installing one of my latest works, Allegory of a Journey, in a stunning home in Palm Springs. It was installed in the formal dining room of Casey Colley and Jose Carlos Mendez, who are generous and exceptional collectors.
These are a few images of the work and the installation process. Thank you to City Picture Frame, San Francisco, for the superb job they did framing this large scale work.

Very pleased to announce that one of my newest works, Campos Allegory 1, will be exhibited by Kala Gallery at this year’s ArtMarket San Francisco, April 26-29, 2018, at the Fort Mason Center in San Francisco.
ARTIST IN RESIDENCE AT KALA ART INSTITUTE
Following the rewarding Artist Residency at Monte Azul in Costa Rica, it was a thrill to be invited as an Artist In Residence at Kala Art Institute, Berkeley.
This residency will provide me the opportunity to further develop a body of work utilizing some of the best equipment, and expertise, available.
